As the leader of the Black Eyed Peas and a globally renowned music producer, Will.I.am came to Korea and had a great time together with 2NE1 in Seoul.
On February 27, Will.I.am arrived in Korea and met 2NE1’s members at a dance club. He proved his close friendship with the members by posting photos taken at the club on Twitter.
Will.I.am took shots with 2NE1’s members wearing a bright smile. Particularly, he drank champagne in honor of CL’s 26th birthday, which was marked on February 26.
He is set on a promotional tour of Intel Ultrabook and is working as a producer of 2NE1’s first American album. As the Director of Creative Innovation, Will.I.am is visiting all parts of the world and creating songs based on experiences from the tour. This visit to Korea as well is part of the global project.
Will.I.am plans to devote himself to the production of 2NE1’s album, separate from his promotional tour. 2NE1 has worked together with Will.I.am to involve his ten songs in their albums.
A representative from 2NE1’s agency says, “Will.I.am is determined to have much time together with 2NE1 to discuss about its new album. We can see his enthusiasm about this album as he sets up a separate music studio in his Korean lodgings. During this visit, I’m sure that a clear picture about the album will be completed.”
Thanks to the collaboration with the renowned producer, the light for 2NE1’s advance into the American music world is on for “Go.”
Meanwhile, Will.I.am held an event to meet Korean fans in person.
On February 29, he’ll throw a club party in downtown Seoul. He is now on a music-related promotional tour. Seoul is the third destination after Tokyo in December last year, and Mexico City in January 2012. By the end of this year, he is planning to cover nine additional cities as part of this project and produce 12 songs in total to upload on Intel’s official website.
