Recently, it was revealed that singer Kim Won Joon’s father has been suffering from a stroke.
On June 29, a staff member at Kim’s agency said in a phone interview with TV Report, “Kim’s father has been fighting to recover from a stroke for over a year now. Kim tried not to reveal this because it’s a personal matter.” Kim’s father is Dr. Kim Ki Young, a professional obstetrician.
The star’s mother told about this in the July issue of a women’s magazine. Because his condition has worsened, her husband is not able to move around freely, and she added, “People around me don’t even notice my husband’s illness because I always try to keep a happy face.” Also, she mentioned her son’s bright personality and expressed how thankful she was to him.
Kim Won Joon is currently playing the character Yoon Bin, who used to be a famous singer, in KBS 2’s drama series Unexpected You.
