Big Bang’s T.O.P, one of Korea’s top fashionistas in the Korean pop scene, has a certain style that he doesn’t like to wear.
On January 13, according to Seoul Art College, Ji Eun, stylist from YG Entertainment recently gave a special lecture.
She said, “The most important thing with styling idol group members is considering their individual character and inclination. For example, Big Bang’s T.O.P doesn’t like to expose his body.”
She added, “Since Daesung has muscular arms, he wears clothes that can make his arms stand out.”
She stressed that to style signers from YG Entertainment, it is important to consider the flow of concerts, position of songs, and the point of time when they appear on stage. The most effective way to style the singers is to apply two contrasting concepts.
Ji Eun has been styling Jinusean, One Time, Gummy, and Big Bang at YG Entertainment.
Jung Bo Yoon, one of the best stylists and a professor, also gave a special lecture. She said, “When Fin.K.L debuted they had the opposite concept to S.E.S. The concept for S.E.S was fairies and for Fin.K.L, it was a “girl-next-door” concept. Each member had a color: Lee Hyo Ri was red, Sung Yoo Ri was white, Lee Jin was blue and Ok Joo Hyun was black.”
Jung has styled many stars, including, Seotaiji, Deux, Sechs Kies, BoA, Fin.K.L, Cool, Ha Ji Won, Ahn Jae Wook, Park Ji Yoon, and Han Ga In. She is currently in charge of styling After School, TVXQ, 4minute, and B2ST.
