Jay Park is to produce an “idol” group with famous foreign producers in jTBC’s Made In You.
Park decided to participate in the overall process of producing an “idol” group, from selecting its members to choreographing songs with Rob Knox, the famous producer who worked with Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, and Britney Spears.
For this reason, Park has been going back and forth to LA several times for the past few months. The members for this “idol” group will be selected from the applicants of Made In You.
Made In You is a large-scaled auditioning program to produce “the new Korean Wave world ‘idol’ group,” rewarding it with a prize of 1 million dollars, the biggest prize among auditioning programs in Korea. It premieres in December and is now receiving applications through its website.
Once the application is closed, netizens will vote for 100 applicants to appear in the program. There will be elimination after each competition, following its survival concept.
Rob Knox will appear in the program as a foreign producer and he also agreed to produce a song for the final competition of the show.
Besides Knox, other producers such as Far East Movement, Stereotypes that worked with Ne-Yo and Justin Bieber, and Samuel Waermo that worked with Bon Jovi, Arashi, BoA, and TVXQ will appear.
