Lady Luck/Dilly Dally, After School’s fourth Japanese single, has placed third on the Oricon chart.
On June 13, the group finally released its new single.
“Lady Luck” and “Dilly Dally” were selected to be featured in commercials for world-renowned handbag brands Samantha Thavasa and Rexena, respectively. Another song on the album, “Slow Love,” was also selected as a theme song for Eyeful Home. All the songs on the album are tied with commercials, proving the group’s soaring popularity in Japan. Moreover, the album ranked third on the Oricon chart, and it has become the most remarkable record in the group’s history so far.
Before returning to the domestic stage with its fifth maxi single Flashback on June 12, the girls have been releasing individual teasers one day after another. Because they are going to appear with a completely different concept in the domestic market, they are generating greater expectations here. Contrary to the group’s lovable, cute image in Japan, the girls will be back with a chic image, the so-called “After-School” look.
In the meantime, the group is planning to hold an encore concert on the 17th of June at Tokyo Dome City Hall after receiving tremendous love and support from Japanese fans.
