FT Island’s Song Seung Hyun debuts in ‘Jack the Ripper’

FT Island’s Song Seung Hyun will make his debut as a musical actor.

Song was finally cast in the musical Jack the Ripper, which will be staged at the National Theater beginning on July 20.

Song will play the role of Daniel, who captured the female audience in Korea and Japan. Ahn Jae Wook, Um Ki Joon, and Super Junior’s Sungmin will also appear in the musical.

Song is cast in the musical for the first time and drew a lot of attention. The character he will play is a hero of sad romance, in which he makes dangerous deals to protect the girl he loves.

Song sings and plays the guitar in group FT Island. Since he already proved that he a talented singer, many people are eagerly anticipating his debut as a musical actor.

He is planning to appear in the musical both in Korea and Japan. Even though he is busy as a member of the group in Japan, he always checks his script and videos of veteran actors performing the musical. Song, who was born in 1992, is the youngest actor among other actors who have played the role of Daniel.

The musical will be staged at the National Theater in Korea beginning on July 20 and in Tokyo in September.
