Released on May 4, the song from IU’s new single album Spring at the Age of Twenty topped the real-time charts of such major online music stores as Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, and Monkey 3 at 10:00 a.m on the day of its release.
Spring at the Age of Twenty, which includes total three songs, is IU’s new album in six months. IU’s releasing the album to thank her fans who have supported her for a long time.
“Peach” is IU’s own song about the heart-pounding feeling of love that newly began, expressed in an acoustic sound. It’s commented that IU’s fresh, girly emotion was well expressed. Peach is IU’s favorite fruit. Because of the pleasant sound of the word when it’s pronounced, she says she wants to call her lover “Peach.”
The lyrics about the happiness people feel when they look at their lovers are well harmonized with the calm, sweet melody. It sounds so sweet that it almost feels like IU’s confessing her love to the person who listens to the song.
Loen Entertainment, IU’s agency, says, “IU removed all strong sounds in her own song this time but only left her innocent, frank emotion she wanted to express.”
IU will hold her first live concert in early June.
