Jay Park seems set to emerge as a world star.
The bewitching singer and dancer successfully finished his first solo concert tour in America, titled the Apahm Tour, attracting over ten thousand fans.
The tour consisted of concerts and small fan meetings, with the kick-off in Washington, D.C., on May 18. The tour lasted ten days and went to four different cities.
The tour is meaningful in that it is the first time for Park to do solo concerts in the U.S. What makes it more meaningful is that the tour was organized by Verizon Wireless, one of the biggest mobile network operators. The company is famous for its work of organizing tours of world-famous artists.
All four of Park’s concerts were sold out, causing a sensation. What’s more, a greater number of fans than expected gathered in and out of the stadium, causing a commotion.
Jay Park gave his first public performances of songs from his two studio albums released in Korea, enchanting his loyal fans.
The singer and dancer also did some fantastic breakdancing with the members of AOM, a breakdance team Park is a member of. The heartthrob even came down from the stage to interact with his fans.
The entertainer also held mini-concerts before and after the days of the four concerts. These fan meetings were for the fans who couldn’t get tickets for the tour concerts. What a gracious star! The singer also organized various events to express his boundless affection for his fans.
The ex-2PM member, currently a successful solo artist, expressed his determination and gratitude. “I’ve been super-excited about the tour as it’s my first tour in the States. I’m proud of myself and I’m ecstatic that it was such a success—much better than I expected. I’ll keep doing my best to show you the best of myself through various projects. I’d like to say thank you again to all the fans who came to my concerts.”
