The 2011 Billboards K-Pop Masters was run by Billboard Korea and MGM and supported by Korean Air. The event was held to celebrate the launching of the Billboard K-Pop chart.
Since this was the first time for Korean singers to perform in Las Vegas, the event drew a lot of attention. And to celebrate the worldwide popularity of the Korean Wave, Las Vegas set November 25 as K-Pop Day. This is the first time any country or city has set aside a day for a specific musical genre.
Singers who appeared at the 2011 Billboard K-Pop Masters arrived at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 24.
Singers, who appeared at the 2011 Billboard K-Pop Masters had a photo-op on the red carpet.
Many media outlets, including Fox TV, MTV, and the Huffington Post, attended the event. They asked lots of questions about the status of K-Pop and how it feels to be so popular.
The rehearsal for the 2011 Billboard K-Pop Masters was held on November 24 (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
