MAMA 2011 Singapore: Girls Generation Wins Best Artist of the Year!

The joint effort of Viz Pro International, a representative from Singapore and CJ Media with Mnet Korea ended successfully for the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). Over six hours of live streaming from the red carpet event to the main awards ceremony was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, 29 November 2011. Certainly to bring their fans back to life, calling out all the boys – and the girls, Girls Generation (SNSD) receieved one of the biggest awards given that night and one more:

ARTIST OF THE YEAR

BEST FEMALE GROUP

They looked extremely happy, pleased and excited, which we saw them tearing with joy at the MAMA 2011 stage. Prior to getting the awards, they immediately met us all at the post press conference to extend their wishes and happiness.

Because they are returning next week for a sold-out two day concert in Singapore on the 9th, one asked what can the spectators expect differently to their special performance made for MAMA. “We are going to show 9 different charms – a solo performance from each of us. We have more remixes to show during our concert, so keep a lookout and we hope for your kind support,” Taeyeon replies.

Sooyoung added, “Thank you for this amazing award. Thank you to the fans. We want to share this with all our fans out there because our winning is all thanks to them. It is only right to share it and celebrate it with them.”

The biggest award for SNSD, being noted as “Artist of the Year”, was given by actress Han Chae Young on stage.

Take a look at the exclusive pictures from the conference, their MAMA trophies and the girls looking adorably happy.

Stay with us next week as we bring you all nine of them back on Korea.com with the insider scoop of their Singapore Asia Tour Concert on the 9 and 10 December!
