Big Bang and JYJ were recently voted as the most wanted boy groups to see on TV for New Year’s holiday.
Seven Edu, an internet lecture site, did a survey starting on December 28 through January 18 asking 1,173 people, “Which boy group do you want to see most on TV during New Year’s holiday?” As a result, Big Bang ranked first (566 people, 48 percent) and JYJ ranked second (173 people, 15 percent).
Cha Gil Young, president of the site, says, “Big Bang and JYJ have something in common. Big Bang hasn’t appeared on TV for a long time because of member problems. They didn’t even appear on the year end programs last year. I think that’s why many people want to see them on TV during the Chinese New Year holiday.”
“When JYJ members were active as TVXQ members, we saw them a lot on TV. But since they have separated, JYJ members haven’t been appearing on TV except on several commercials and at their concerts.”
Big Bang will hold their concert ‘Big Show’ on March 2, 3, and 4 at Olympic Park in Seoul and then they will be back performing in March. JYJ will also hold their concert on March 9 in Chile and September 11 in Peru.
