The Golden Disk Awards open on January 11 and 12 in Japan and air on January 21 and 22

The 26th Golden Disk Awards will open soon.

The Golden Disk Awards, one of the music awards in Korea, will open on January 11 and 12 at Osaka Kyocera Dome. This year’s awards are for the songs released in 2011. For the first time, The Golden Disk Awards will open outside of the country.

The Best Albums and the grand prize will be awarded on January 11, and the Best Digital Albums and the grand prize out of the winners will be awarded on January 12.

The Awards will be hosted by Super Junior’s Leeteuk, KARA’s Park Gyuri, and B2ST’s Yo Seop. Such popular idol groups as SNSD, Super Junior, B2ST, Secret, and Sistar will perform at the awards.

The 26th Golden Disk Awards will air on January 21 and 22, during the Lunar New Year’s holidays, on jTBC.
