ZE:A to hold the first showcase in Dubai as K-pop singers

ZE:A will hold a showcase in the Middle East for the first time as K-pop singers.

ZE:A will hold a fan meeting and concert in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on April 22 (local time). Then they will hold a showcase in Abu Dhabi where they will meet over 1,000 fans.

The group will go to the Middle East for the first time. Seo In Young and Nine Muses from the same agency held a concert in Abu Dhabi last year.

Local media outlets are giving the group a lot of attention. Since K-pop fever has spread all over the world, the group will start keeping busy in the Middle East, which is quickly becoming a popular Hallyu market.

On April 18, a spokesperson for their agency, Star Empire, said, “Seo and Nine Muses went to Abu Dhabi last year to attend a music festival and they experienced K-pop fever there. K-pop girl groups and boy groups are receiving a lot of attention and we were invited to hold a showcase.”

ZE:A will take this opportunity to step out into the world. The spokesperson said, “The group will meet their fans in Dubai and will become more popular through their activities in the Middle East. Since it’s hard to approach K-pop in the Middle East, we will take every chance we get to meet the local fans.”

Even though many K-pop singers have gone abroad, including Asia, Europe, and South America, it’s rare for a group to hold a fan meeting and showcase in the Middle East. Local fans will give them a lot of attention.

The spokesperson said, “Many musical officials in the Middle East are offering us gigs after our trip to Abu Dhabi last year to hold concert. Even though women in the Middle East are not allow to expose their skin, the local people paid a lot of attention to Nine Muses. The Middle East is a new K-pop market.”

ZE:A will fly to Dubai on April 20.
