Despite the raid of Men in Black 3, movie All about My Wife is still making satisfactory profits.
Men in Black 3 kept its number one ranking on the Korean box office on last Friday, May 25 with 196,420 viewers on the single day, according to a source from the movie industry. Having been released on the previous day, May 24 and topping the Korean box office, the movie recorded a total of 342,050 viewers.
However, despite the reign of Men In Black, the movie All About My Wife stands still as the number two, recording a total of 1,341,329 viewers.
The movie starring Lee Sun Kyun and Im Soo Jung gained a good reputation this week, and it seems that the good news spread by word-of-mouth and SNS. Finally, the movie attracted even more viewers than it did in its first week.
Men In Black 3 have been showing less ticket selling power than Avengers, which attracted two hundred thousand on the day of its release. However, the movie starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones is expected to sell more tickets during the 3-day holiday season in Korea—from the 26th to 28th.
