Min, a member of Miss A, is cast in the movie Countdown because she resembles Jeon Do Youn

Actress Jeon Do Youn talks about Miss A’s Min when Min is chosen to act in the new movie Countdown.

On September 20, a press conference for Countdown (directed by Huh Jong Ho and produced by Bom) was held at Coex Megabox in Seoul.

At the press conference, Jeon talked about Min (birth name Lee Min Young), who was chosen to play the role of a secret daughter who was conceived when the mother was only 17. Min was cast because she resembles Jeon. Jeon jokingly remarked, “In the movie, I’ve undergone plastic surgery from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. Does that mean that Min resembles the old version of me?”

Jeon added, “I think that Min’s eyes are similar to mine. Her eyes shine like mine when she is working hard.”

When Jeon was asked if she would encourage her daughter to join a girl group, she replied, “No, not really.”

Countdown is about a hustling debt collector Tae Gun Ho (played by Jung Jae Young) and a beautiful swindler Cha Ha Yeon (played by Jeon Do Youn), who become comrades in order to reach their goals. The movie is rated R. It will be released on September 29.
