TVXQ

 

From 2003 – 2009, Yoochun sang in South Korean boy band TVXQ, known as Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK) in South Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan. In July 2009, Yoochun and two of his bandmates, Jaejoong and Junsu, filed a lawsuit against their South Korean label, SM Entertainment. Through their lawyers, the members stated that the 13-year contract was excessively long, schedules were held out without the confirmation or permission of the members, contract terms have been extended and changed without their knowledge or consent and that the group’s earnings were not fairly distributed to the members. After Tohoshinki’s Japanese label announced a group hiatus in early 2010, they formed a new three member group initially known as JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN in Japan. Currently, the main lawsuit concerning the three members’ contract with SM Entertainment is still ongoing.

 


JYJ  

In September 2010, JYJ released extended play The…, which debuted at number one on Japan’s Oricon album charts. However, Avex had announced the suspension of all the group’s activities in Japan, the same month that year.

JYJ proceeded to release The Beginning, a global album which was sung in English. JYJ promoted the new album via a worldwide showcase tour throughout October and November with dates in South Korea, Southeast Asia and the United States.
In January 25, 2011, JYJ released Korean extended play Their Rooms “Our Story”.” JYJ’s second group album and first full length Korean-language album In Heavenwas released September 28, 2011.

Starting from April, Yoochun toured Asia and North America for JYJ’s first Worldwide Tour. The tour is then extended to Europe and South America, adding another four stops in Spain, Germany, Chile and Peru.

Beside as a singer, Yoochun is also active as an actor since 2010.

When Crown Prince Lee Gak is transported 300 years into the future to present day Seoul along with his three retainers, they believe that it is their duty to solve the murder case of the Crown Princess in order to return to Joseon.

They land in the rooftop apartment of Park Ha, a cheerful woman in her mid-20s, who eventually believes the odd quartet’s predicament and becomes their guardian.

As Park Ha educates the four on life in the 21st century, Lee Gak comes across Hong Se Na, who seems to be the reincarnation of his wife.

Taking on the identity of Yong Tae Yong, Lee Gak slowly begins to unravel the murder of Yong Tae Yong and in turn moves closer to solving the murder case of the Crown Princess.

As he finds himself in love with Park Ha, he figures that maybe the Crown Princess was not so perfect after all…
