Actor Cha In Pyo to play a stand-up politician in The Substitute

Cha to play the heart-warming role of Hyun Seok Kang, a charismatic political leader

Seoul, Korea – Actor Cha In Pyo will come back to the TV screen this October on the SBS series The Substitute.

On July 21, a spokesperson for the show announced that Cha in Pyo will be playing the role of a warm-hearted politician who is also charismatic and shows great leadership on the SBS production The Substitute.

Ko Hyun Jung and Kwon Sang Woo have also been cast in lead roles in The Substitute, which is based on Park In Kwon’s graphic novel of the same name.

In his role as politician Kang Hyung Seok, Cha will be romantically involved with lawyer Seo Hye Lim, played by Ko Hyun Jung.

The story will follow human rights lawyer Seo Hye Lim running for president, through the story of her struggles and eventual success as Korea’s first female president. The Substitute will begin airing in October.
