Actress Jo Yeo Jung comments on the criticisms of the poor imitations of dialect

Actress Jo Yeo Jung recently commented on the criticisms of the unnatural sounding use of dialect while acting in a new TV series.

On August 7, Jo tweeted: “The second episode of Haeundae Lovers is to be braodcast today, I hope you enjoy the series and send me some love and support.”

It seems that the actress was responding to viewers of the KBS’s Monday-Tuesday series.

Jo, who plays the role of a woman from Busan who works in a sea food restaurant, received some flak for her unnatural rendition of the Busan dialect from TV viewers.

Netizens responded: “Her accent was not natural.” “Her acting will get better, I guess.” “The accent of people from Busan is really different and is hard to imitate” “It’s all right because she is pretty.”
