Joo Ji Hoon decides to play in the musical Doctor Zhivago when he finishes his military service

 

Joo Ji Hoon, who is currently serving the military, has decided to act in the musical Doctor Zhivago when he gets discharged.

According to his agency Keyeast Entertainment on November 17, “Joo made a firm decision on appearing in Doctor Zhivago. It will be his first work after completing his military service.”

The original work of Doctor Zhivago is based on Nobel Prize winner, Boris Pasternak’s novel. The musical has drawn attention with its production cost which is over 25 billion won. (About $22 million)

Joo attracted people’s eyes through MBC’s drama series Princess Hours, not only in Korea but also in Japan and China, building his reputation as a Korean Wave Star. Then he became very popular in Asian countries including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China by playing in KBS 2’s Devil, movie The Naked Kitchen, and Antique. He enlisted in the Special Forces in February last year and is to finish his service on November 21.
