Jung Il Woo, a rising Hallyu star, is invited to the Shanghai TV Festival

On June 15, actor Jung Il Woo will fly to China as an invitee to one of the most influential events in the Chinese television industry, the Shanghai TV Festival.

According to a June 11 announcement by his agency, Soop Management, Jung has been invited to the 18th Shanghai TV Festival sample market and to its closing ceremony at which awards will be given out.

After appearing in China’s leading variety talk show, Honam TV’s Tian Tian Xiang Shang, recently, he has become the number-one attraction among Chinese netizens, and his name ranks at the top of male actors list on China’s portal site Baidu.

He gained an increasing number of fans through the SBS series 49 Days (written by So Hyun Kyung, directed by Jo Young Kwang and Park Yong Soon) and the cable channel tvN’s Flower Boy Ramyun Shop (written by Yoon Nan Joong, directed by Jung Jung Hwa). He seems to pushing forward with his march into foreign countries.
