Seoul, Korea – Yuri of SNSD was planning to join an upcoming sitcom as one of the main characters. The comedy series is going to air after MBC’s current sitcom High Kick through the Roof.
However, Yuri had to withdraw from the role because of SNSD’s busy schedule. SNSD will be starting their promotion in Japan in May. It would have been impossible to handle the sitcom schedule at the same time. Yuri chose SNSD over her personal stardom. An SM Entertainment representative also mentioned that they never made an official announcement about the casting. This decision was made before signing the contract; therefore, there won’t be any problems because her withdrawal. An MBC entertainment representative is currently looking for a new actress to replace Yuri.
