Super Junior’s Eunhyuk says, “My nickname was Yoo Ji Hyuk”

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk got laughs explaining the meaning of his former nickname Yoo Ji Hyuk in the episode of SBS TV’s Kang Shim Jang that aired on May 29.

In the episode, Choi Yoon Young said, “I went to the same school with JYJ’s Jun Su and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk. A letter I received from Eunhyuk was published in a collection of literary works of students.”

According to Choi, Eunhyuk introduced himself as Yoo Ji Hyuk in the letter he sent to her. Eunhyuk’s nickname Yoo Ji Hyuk stands for Yoo Seung Jun, Eun Ji Won, and Jang Woo Hyuk. Eunhyuk said, “Yoo Seung Jun, Eun Ji Won, and Jang Woo Hyuk were my favorite singers.”

As Eunhyuk explained about his nickname, people burst into a laugh. Shin Dong Yeop said, “My nickname is now Joo Yang Gyu. It stands for Joo Byung Jin, Choi Yang Rak, and Lee Gyung Gyu,” and Byun Gi Soo said, “I want to change my name as Lee Soo Man, which stands for Lee Gyung Gyu, Kim Soo Young, and Kim Young Man.”

At this, Eunhyuk said, “Choi Yoon Young wanted to become an actress when she was an elementary school student, so I’m very happy to see her as an actress now. But she was so mean to talk about my nickname.”

Eunhyuk also showed some pictures of himself when he was an elementary school student who belonged to the dance team SRD (Song Rap Dance). He said, “It meant we will become a team that is good at singing, rapping, and dancing.”
