ZE:A’s Kwang Hee receives a passing grade for TV series performance

ZE:A’s Hwang Kwang Hee received a passing grade for his performance on a TV series.

Hwang will play the role of a hurdler named Song Jong Min in SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday series To The Beautiful You, which will start airing on August 15. Since this is his first appearance on a TV series, many people are paying him a lot of attention.

Hwang shot a scene, in which he supports his friend Cha Eun Kyul (played by Lee Hyun Woo). He feels jealous to see f(x)’s Sulli and Lee acting like close friends. The audience are wondering how Hwang will make Sulli and Lee move apart.

The scene was taken at a university campus on July 10. Even though there was no rehearsal, Hwang gave a passionate performance and even made a surprising ad-lib. His witty ad-lib will make the series even more enjoyable.

It only took twenty minutes to shoot the scene thanks to his natural performance. The reason Hwang was able to play his role so well is that he practices a lot with the group members, including Lim Si Wan, while he is riding in his car.

The series will start airing on August 15.
