Models show off a collection by Paris-based Korean fashion designer Moon Young-hee at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, on Tuesday afternoon.
The collection draws inspiration from Korean monochrome abstract paintings called dansaekhwa, which are on display at the museum until May 13. The exhibition traces Korean monochrome paintings from the 1970s to the present day, featuring more than 150 paintings by 31 local artists.
Moon, who has participated in Paris Pret-a-Porter fashion weeks every year for the last 17 years and was awarded the L’Ordre National Du Merite in 2008, will collaborate with the museum to produce a series of goods for its art shop.
