Seoul, Korea – From the 23rd last month to the 2nd this coming month, the Hyatt Regency Almaty is opening a ‘Korean Cuisine Food Festival.’
‘Essence of Korea, Korean Food Festival’ is part of Hyatt Regency Almaty’s annually hosted world-food festival to introduce key dishes of nations around the world. This year, Korean cuisine is being introduced.
During the festival, visitors will have the chance to experience true Korean cuisine and an authentic Korean atmosphere, entertained by classical Korean music – gookak, and watch traditional dances, all of which are performed by artists in the traditional Korean wardrobe-hanbok.
Kazakhstan Consulate Branch, Almaty Consul General HyungEun Shin who sponsored the festival shared his feelings that “Korean food contains deep understanding and wisdom about taste and healthiness, and is a priceless cultural heritage. It is my pleasure to be able to share this with others, and I couldn’t be happier if you did the same to others and shared Korean foods with others.”
Chef Min Jun Park and Chef Joon Yeob Lee from the Hyatt Regency Incheon, prepared some favorites, including bulgogi (barbecued beef), galbichim (stewed short ribs), maejakgwa (ginger honey crisps) and woomegi ttuk (pan fried rice cakes).
