Cowon Systems, a Korean electronics company, announced on December 2 that it is planning to launch a 7-inch portable multimedia player (PMP) the Cowon R7.Set featured image
The Cowon R7 is able to play various kinds of video files, including full-HD videos, without re-encoding them, and offers 3D surround stereo sound.
In addition, it provides users with access to online video lectures such as Mega Study, Etoos, and Vita Edu, and comes loaded with such dictionaries as Doosan Dong-A’s Korean-English/English-Korean dictionaries and the New Korean Dictionary.
The new PMP will go on sale on December 7 in different three models: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The prices range from 299,999 won to 399,999 won depending on the capacity.
Cowon’s president, Park Nam Gyu, says, “The Cowon R7 is a distinctive model in terms of performance, large screen, and user-centered design. We’ll move on to maximize the value of our PMPs, differentiating them from other smart devices.”
