NCsoft runs Guild War 2 in North America and Europe

NCsoft (Kim Taek Jin, CEO) is targeting the game market in North America and Europe.

On August 29, NCsoft announced that it recently started running Guild War 2 in North America and Europe.

Guild War 2 is the second version of Guild War, an online game that has sold to over seven million users in North America and Europe.

Guild War 2 has sold to over a million users already since April, and over 400,000 people connected to the pre-opening service, which was run for three days from August 25.

Even before the service started, it ranked first on the Amazon PC Game Chart in North America, the UK, Germany, and France, and it also ranked first on MMORPG.com and GameSpot, websites specializing in games, as the most anticipated online game.

Forbes Magazine comments, “Guild War 2 has been acknowledged as an innovative kind of MMORPG (Massive Multi-user Online Role-Playing Game) through a beta test. It will create a new page in the history of MMO games.”

Mike O’Brien, the president of ArenaNet, a subsidiary of NCsoft in North America, says, “Guild War 2 has been created from players’ interest and love. We’d like to let many people know about the great game world of Guild War 2 with the players and continue to provide the best user experience by constantly updating the service.”
