An application that reduces your cell-phone bill has been created.
On August 2, Ponple said that it has released the eponymous application, Ponple, which will reduce your phone bill if you view advertisements.
Ponple can save users 100 to 1,000 won when they view advertisements and participate in a simple quiz. The points earned during the quiz can be used to pay your phone bill. Currently there are only four advertisements, but ten more will be added soon.
Ponple is available for the iPhone and Android phones and work with the carriers SK Telecom, KT, and LG U Plus.
An official of Ponple says, “We made the application to help reduce excessive phone bills. We hope that the application will be helpful to those whose phone bills are too high.”
Ponple is a startup run by two Seoul National University students and an alumnus. Lee Dong Ho, president of the company, entered the Seoul National in 2008 and is a psychology major. Kang Kyung Won, director of development, is a mathematics major. The team director, Yang Young Seok, graduated from the Business Department.
The three met at the university as foundation club members and founded the company in April of last year.
Like Ponple, Adlatte is also a popular application designed to help users save money through advertising.
