Seoul, Korea – The total number of Apple iPhones sold around the world is more than double the sales of phones with Google’s Android operating system.
According to a report made in April by Apple’s advertising company, Admob, 27.4 million iPhones had been sold compared to 11.6 Android phones.
If such products as the iPod touch and iPad, which have the iPhone OS, were included, the sales figure would be three times as much as that of Android phones.
It showed that the Android phone market share was 75 percent in the United States, 8 percent in China, 3 percent in England, 2 percent in Germany, and 2 percent in France. iPhone OS product sales recorded 44 percent in the United States, 9 percent in England, 6 percent in France, 5 percent in Canada, and 4 percent in Japan.
