On January 26, Gallup Korea, a research center, conducted a survey of 3401 people aged between 13 and 59 regardless of gender to find out the most popular new female group of 2011, and Dal Shabet ranked first with the highest poll.
It proves that Dal Shabet was the best performing and the most beloved female group of 2011, which was an unusual year that so many new female groups debuted.
People are now paying more attention to Dal Shabet because they’ve been selected as the best new female group after 2NE1 in 2009 and Miss A in 2010.
Dal Shabet, a girl group produced by the domestically and international acknowledged composer group E-TRIBE, debuted in January last year in a blaze of publicity. They have released total three mini albums, Supa Dupa Diva, Pink Rocket, and Bling Bling until now. Their performances on TV also stood out among many new singing groups.
This survey was conducted by individual interviews, and it has a sampling error of ±1.7 percent.
