Plot summary via the Anime News Network:

The film revolves around a mysterious girl named Éclair who appears before Fairy Tail, the world’s most notorious wizard’s guild. She lost all of her memories, except for the imperative that she must deliver two Phoenix Stones somewhere. The stones may spell the collapse of the magical world, and Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of the Fairy Tail guild are caught up in the intrigue.

Jinni’s Note: Regarding the wait for English subtitles…

Usually with anime films, fansub groups prefer not to work on the subtitles until the DVD version comes out, all so that they’d have a HQ video to work with. Unless someone or some group decides to pick it up early… quality subtitles are normally expected to surface online at least a few months away (by that, let’s just say 6 or so months) from the theatrical release date.
