Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk recently finished his Love Rain drama in Korea and also managed to steal the top place in Oricon Chart of Japan with his debut album “Just Crazy.” Thus, it was with bated breath that many Eels looked forward to Jang Keun Suk’s live interview with fans in Weibo, a social networking site based in China.
Jang was scheduled to attend this interview for an hour from 4-5 pm today and had left to China for this special occasion. After conquering Japan did Asia Prince manage to capture China?
YES! He did!! With a whooping record of 312,578 questions in one hour and 15 minutes. The original interview scheduled for 1 hour was extended for a period of 15 minutes to control the traffic and to give all the eager fans a chance.
Weibo Live Conference is an interesting place where the fans can directly question the Star. Previously Korean Actor Lee Min Ho had such a live interview last year where he garnered 13,500 questions in an hour. But, Jang Keun Suk beat this record by a long margin.
The previous record held in weibo live conference was by MayDay, a Taiwanese band, who managed to reel in 200,000+ questions. Seems Asia Prince broke both his fellow colleague’s record and the overall record held by Weibo too.
Another interesting detail was Jang Keun Suk managed to answer only 56 question out of 312,578 questions but he showed complete involvement by acting out the request of fans in those questions. He changed his profile picture in Weibo and he also uploaded a photo of himself based on the fans’ requests.
He also managed to attract 7000+ new followers within that brief period one hour interview time. Jang Keun Suk’s weibo account had more than three million followers previously and the new 7000+ members were very welcome indeed.
Fans were quite amazed by this new record and were very much happy to know that Asia Prince’s power extends very much into China too.

Asia Prince is scheduled to start his Cri Show 2 very soon next month which includes various cities in Japan,China etc. Fans are very much excited for this show as Jang Keun Suk is reported to perform songs from his hit “Just Crazy” album and there is supposed to be an altogether different concept for this year’s Cri Show.
