On October 3, the Visit Korea Year will be celebrated with an event called the Cover Dance Festival. In this festival, K-pop fans hold competitions in which they perform covers of dances by their favorite singers. In Thailand, fans of Hallyu stars compete with cover dances and win prizes.
A source from the production crew says, “This special event will provide a good opportunity make K-pop more widely known and to introduce the culture of Korea to overseas fans.”
Girl group Kara is acting as a representative for the Cover Dance Festival.
