Singer Lee Hyo Ri (33) recently donated 5 million won as deposit money for the lease of a house to help an old woman, who takes care of abandoned dogs.
On March 28, a media outlet reported on Lee that she donated 5 million won to help a woman who takes care of abandoned dogs in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The woman was about to be evicted because the care shelter where she lives will be destroyed as a result of village redevelopment. Lee heard the sad news and decided to help her by paying 10 million won of deposit money for the lease of her house. Lee also donated 10 million won to a man who raises abandoned dogs.
Lee’s agency, B2M Entertainment, says, “We don’t even know all about Lee’s donations. She also visits the aged living alone to help them out.”
Along with IU, Lee was recently featured on the magazine The Big Issue Korea cover, which helps rehabilitate the homeless.
