Actor Lee Jang Woo and T-ara Eunjung traveled to their first date spot to say their final goodbyes on the August 25th broadcast of MBC We Got Married.
Lee Jang Woo was given a letter that read: “Your on-screen marriage will end in one week. Prepare to say your goodbyes.” He seemed a bit taken aback as he told the staff, “Please keep it a secret from Eunjung. If we both know that we have to say goodbye, I think it’ll be too sad. I think I won’t be able to even see Eunjung clearly because I’ll have to hold back my tears. I want us to have a happy time together without [her] knowing we’ll be parting.”
In the end, the actor’s request to keep the situation from Eunjung was granted, and he drove them to the location of their first date.
Standing in front of Eunjung, Lee Jang Woo revealed, “Today is our 500-day anniversary, and our last day together,” as he tried to swallow back his tears. He then sang a special song for his on-screen wife, who also seemed distraught as she stated, “They said we can’t do more? No wonder. There was something weird about today.”
The couple first met in April of 2011, and ended their virtual marriage after a year and 5 months.
