Wonder Girls (Korean: 원더걸스) is a South Korean girl group. Its producer and manager is singer-songwriter Park Jin-Young and the Wonder Girls is signed to his talent agency, JYP Entertainment. Each of the five original members were selected through auditions. Debuting in early 2007, they became popular in the fall of that year with the song “Tell Me.” They have scored five consecutive #1 hit singles: “Tell Me”, “So Hot”, “Nobody”, “2 Different Tears” and “Be My Baby. In 2008, they won two Daesangs (“Artist of the Year” Awards).
The group began their entry into the American market in 2009, with the English version of their hit single “Nobody”.They are co-managed in the United States by JYP Entertainment and Jonas Group.

Sun Ye (Sun)

* Birth name: Min Sun Ye (Korean: 민선예; Hanja: 閔先藝)
* Date of birth: August 12, 1989 (1989-08-12)

* Entered into the JYP academy after being discovered in 2001 during Park Jin Young’s 99% Challenge project. Trained in JYPE for 5.5 years before the Wonder Girls’ debut.
* Was featured in Mighty Mouth’s song “Energy”.
* Sang “일월지가” (“Sun and Moon”) for “Han Sung Byul Gok”.
* Composed the “Man Won” song for her time on the “Man Won Happiness” show in mid-2007.
* Was featured in Lee Byul’s music video ‘Forever’.
* Was featured in JYP’s song ‘Breakup In The Daylight’

 

 


Ye Eun (Yenny)

* Birth name: Park Ye Eun (Korean: 박예은; )
* Date of birth: May 26, 1989 (1989-05-26)

* Joined the Wonder Girls as the 5th member through an audition not long before their debut.
* Featured in H-eugene’s song “Baby I Love You” and One Two’s song “Bad Girl”.
* Composed and wrote the lyrics for “Saying I Love You”, “G.N.O.”, and “For Wonderful”

 

 

Sohee

* Birth name: Ahn So Hee (Korean: 안소희)
* Date of birth: June 27, 1992 (1992-06-27)

* Trained in JYPE for about 3 years before the Wonder Girls’ debut.
* Was a supporting character in the movie I Like It Hot.
* Featured as the lead actress in 8Eight’s music video “Without a Heart”.
* Made a cameo in MBC’s sitcom, ‘That Person Is Coming’.

 

 

Yubin

* Birth name: Kim Yu Bin (Korean: 김유빈)
* Date of birth: October 4, 1988 (1988-10-04)

* Joined the Wonder Girls in late-2007, just days before their ‘Tell Me’ comeback.
* Made a cameo in 2PM’s 10 Points out of 10 music video and in MBC’s sitcom, ‘That Person Is Coming’.
* Featured in Chun G’s song ‘Weak Man’ and Kim Bum Soo’s song, ‘Do You Know That’. Also featured on Andy’s first album.
* Wrote the rap for her part in Kim Bum Soo’s song.

 


Hye Rim(Lim)

*English name: Christina Woo

*Date of birlth:Sep 1,1992(1992-09-01)

*Made her first appearance as a Wonder Girls on February 05, 2012 during an event in China.
