IU: “I had a sense of rivalry with B2ST’s Lee Gi Kwang”

Singer IU and B2ST’s Lee Gi Kwang participated in voice-overs for an animated movie.

On July 26, IU attended a press conference for the movie Sammy’s Adventures 2 in Seoul and talked about dubbing the movie.

She said, “I did the voice over for the movie while listening to Lee’s work and I had a sense of rivalry.”

“Kim Won Hyo’s voice over works was very strong and he played the character naturally and very well. And Lee also did a good job providing the voice for Ricky. He really sounded like the character. So I was very nervous and stimulated by him.”

Lee said, “Thank you for having a sense of rivalry with me even though you are the current trend. I debuted three years ago but my voice still sounds awkward. Since I participated in the dubbing of a movie for the first time, it was really awkward to hear my dubbed voice.”

The movie is about turtle Sammy’s granddaughter Ella and Ray’s grandson Ricky getting into adventures in an aquarium to rescue Sammy and Ray. It will be released on August 2.
