Argo, a hit at 1.27 million downloads

Seoul, Korea – Downloads of the open version of MGame’s Argo have just passed the 1.27-million mark, including the pre-downloads.

Argo began open service at 3:00 pm on August 5 on 40 servers and four different worlds: Propethia, Agnes, Senith, and Magnolia. Immediately after the opening, all servers were flooded with users. All have held up without a crash and are running stably.

Widespread interest in Argo is also reflected in the gaming charts. Immediately after opening, the game’s overall rank on the Web portal Naver placed Argo in the eighth position, and Daum’s real-time ranking placed it in the top position. Gametrix PC bang RPG genre ranked it seventh, and it rated top in Gamenote up-and-coming games.

Also notable was the level of activity on Argo’s Twitter account (http://twitter.com/argoonline). The number of followers skyrocketed on day one, and now the list is over a thousand accounts long.

Argo’s success up to the present can be attributed to the early test feedback from users and the developers’ using that feedback to supplement the game’s well-rounded execution, amiable customer service, and utilization of various entertainment marketing outlets via novels, OST, and graphic-cards.

Argo’s General Services Director Byung Chan Gwak thanked users for their encouragements and support and shared that Argo had the highest number of users logged in simultaneously among all of MGame’S games. “We expect all servers to have full loads this weekend,” he said.

Argo revolves around the rivalry between two groups, the Noblians and the Floressra, who are in perpetual dispute over resources. The backpack, ridables, and first-person controls  make for a uniquely balanced gaming experience, a “futuristic fantasy.” The game has already made agreements on the 6th to ship to Russia as part of its move to gain a foothold in new markets.
