Soldier of Fortune Online: Captures the heart and guts of ten-thousand CBT users

Seoul, Korea – The carnage FPS Soldier of Fortune Online, developed jointly by Dragonfly and Activision, has just completed its closed beta test (CBT) amidst praise and positive feedback.

The CBT began on August 12 and ended on the 16th, participated in by a membership of 10,000 users eighteen and over who were pre-selected to give the game a go. Users got to destroy literally everything on the map, including buildings and other structures and even other players. Gameplay unique to Soldier of Fortune Online took place on combat maps set in disputed locations around the world

Based on a survey of the beta testers on the official game website, an impressive 86 percent of the users expressed positive reviews of CBT use. Further analysis by Dragonfly showed that the game’s unrelenting pace and originality in gameplay was what earned kudos from the gamers.

On the BBS, participating gamers made positive comments: “The game’s gore effect was a refreshing splash.” “The mod-option for a revolvers-only round was particularly interesting.” “The fast-paced gameplay kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the fights.”

Soldier of Fortune Online will be released later this year with added maps, more game modes and richer content, to satisfy gamers who have been looking forward to it.

Dragonfly’s Game Operations Director Beom Hoon Kim thanks gamers for their “care and concern about SoF’s first test, and we will heed suggestions and opinions to make our game an outstanding FPS experience.”
